Plantation shutters are the most permanent, tailored window treatment we make, and they lift a Sydney home the moment they go in. The Curtain Lab designs, measures and installs made-to-measure plantation shutters right across Sydney, built from a premium timber-look polymer engineered never to warp, crack or peel. Every order is covered by a 5-year warranty on the shutters and the installation, backed by a 5.0 rating from more than 100 Google reviews, and most are measured, made and fitted within about 10 working days. Book a free in-home measure and quote and we will come to you anywhere in Sydney.
Shutters do what no other window treatment quite manages: they become part of the architecture rather than sitting in front of it. The wide louvres rotate a full 180 degrees, so you can throw them open for uninterrupted light, angle them to soften the afternoon sun, or close them fully for privacy and insulation at night. They add a clean, high-end finish that buyers notice, improve year-round comfort by slowing heat transfer through the glass, and, unlike fabric, wipe clean in seconds.
Our shutters are made from an advanced timber-look polymer that holds its shape where real timber would struggle. It will not warp, crack, peel or fade, which makes it ideal for the humidity of a Sydney bathroom or laundry, the steam of a kitchen, and coastal homes exposed to salt air. The result is the warmth and look of timber with none of the maintenance, in a finish tailored to your frames and the style of your room.
